It’s been a busy couple months here at Lucidity. We wanted to take a moment to recap some of the recent product enhancements.

Optimize block storage at enterprise scale with bulk onboarding via CSV

Bulk onboarding via CSV is designed for users who need a faster, more efficient way to onboard instances at scale. This feature allows for easy expansion to many disks at once, accelerating time-to-value for enterprise IT operators and users.

Key Features:

Smart Batch Processing – The system intelligently reads instance details from the CSV uploaded and schedules onboarding batches based on the instance OS and specified onboarding/reboot time.

Simple CSV Format – Users only need to provide:

  • Instance ID/Name
  • Onboarding/Reboot Date
  • Onboarding/Reboot Time

Automated Validation – The system validates the inputs on the CSV before processing it and ensures smooth batch scheduling.

Tracking via Jobs – Once processed, all scheduled onboarding batches can be monitored through Jobs.

With this feature, users can save time when onboarding Lucidity onto a large number of disks, helping IT and DevOps teams realize the benefits of automation and cost optimization faster than ever.

Get visibility and ensure seamless expansion with bulk agent installations

The Jobs module, your one-stop shop for all bulk operations in Lucidity AutoScaler, now includes bulk agent installations. This module brings the ability to monitor bulk onboardings and bulk agent installations, helping you scale your operations with Lucidity to automate and save more faster than ever.

The Jobs module has the following key features:

Metrics: This section displays key metrics such as installation success rate, average installation time per instance, and the number of jobs completed till date.

List of all scheduled, in-progress and completed batches: Clicking on an individual job will open more details.

Progress bar: For an in-progress job, users can monitor the agent installation progress along with details about the number of instances that succeeded, failed or are in-progress.

Batch details: This section provides more details about the instances that are a part of a particular batch job. Users can double click into the reason for installation failures, if any.

Other enhancements and improvements

  • See faster time-to-value with seamless deployments through the highlight of missing permissions. Lucidity released the ability to review missing permissions when performing an Assessment in Azure environments. With this enhancement, Lucidity Assessment provides a detailed and comprehensive view of all the missing Azure permissions to users within their environment at the subscription level, ensuring that any obstacles to expansion in coverage are easily highlighted and ready to address.
  • Onboard Linux volumes faster and at scale. Bulk onboarding for Linux data volumes is now available via both the unmanaged VMs page and CSV.
  • Remove clutter from your policy center. IT operators and users can now easily remove policies that are not being used from the "Manage Policy" section on the Managed VMs page. This ensures that the policy center stays streamlined and useful for your particular business needs.
