As you might already know by now, Lucidity AutoScaler is agent-based. Once your Lucidity tenant has been successfully integrated with your cloud provider (AWS / Azure / GCP), you can begin installing the Lucidity Agent on your virtual machines. However, do ensure the IAM rerequisites highlighted in respective CSP’s Account Integration guides are followed.
Lucidity offers two primary installation methods:
Cloud-Specific Requirements for Agent Installation via Lucidity Dashboard
AWS (Amazon Web Services)
To enable automated installation:
EC2 instances must be AWS Systems Manager (SSM) enabled
Required IAM permissions must be granted during account integration
SSM connectivity and configuration must be functional
This allows Lucidity to remotely push and execute installation commands.
⚠️ If SSM access or configuration is unavailable → manual installation must be used.
Azure (Microsoft Azure)
To enable automated installation:
Required least-privilege RBAC permissions must be granted during account onboarding
Permissions should allow remote command execution and agent deployment, as described in the Azure IAM integration documentation
GCP (Google Cloud Platform)
To enable automated installation:
VM must have access to OS Config / VM Manager
Required IAM permissions must allow remote command execution.
Meeting these cloud-specific prerequisites ensures successful dashboard-based agent installation without manual intervention.
